PROCESS IN A NUTSHELL

Attend one of our scheduled “Open Houses” or make an appointment to receive a personalized tour, in order to obtained detailed information about Mindful Community School and have all your questions answered.

Introduce yourself

▪ Sign your child up for the Student Evaluation (PreKinder- 10 th Grade) and to spend a day at Mindful Community School.

▪ Set up a time and date to attend a family interview with a member of our school administration.

Prospective students get to spend a day in a classroom with peers of his or her current grade level. The student will also take the school evaluation to assess their readiness and English laguage skills. Here are a few reminders for parents and prospective students for this day:

▪ Arrive to school before 7:45 a.m. in order to participate in all activities.

▪ Families must hand in all required documentation at least two days prior to the evaluation day, in order for the school to properly prepare to receive the student. In case the documentation is incomplete, the evaluation will be rescheduled.

▪ The evaluation is not intended to create anxiety, nor should students study for it. The more students are motivated, the better they will perform.

▪ We want the prospective candidate to live the complete MCS experience, so we recommend that students wear a white polo shirt and khaki pants, and bring a lunchbox with his or her favorite snacks (Prekinder and Kindergarten) or money to buy food at the cafeteria.

▪ Students should be picked up at the agreed upon time and place.

Our admissions officer will contact you to schedule a meeting to inform you of the admission test results. Once admission is granted, you will be informed of the next steps required for registration.

A spot at Mindful Community School is guaranteed for 15 days once admission is granted during registration period. Enrollment of accepted students must be formalized within this period of time to ensure the student’s spot.
